What to Expect from your Sales Presentation
After we set up an appointment with you, we will send a sales
representative to your home-site at the day and time specified.
When the sales rep arrives, an Introduction period will be
followed by time to discuss your project. This will allow the
sales rep to learn your goals, wants/needs, and budget on the
project. With this information, he can better assist you in
presenting products you want and perhaps show you products you
haven’t even thought about.
After presenting you with products that can be used on your
project in the form of brochures and product samples, both
parties will go outside to map out the desired product location
and dimensions. This will aid the sales rep in choosing the
right product and the right quantity.
Now that you have decided on your product choice and measured
for location and sizes, it is time for the Quote. Most of the
time, depending on the project, you will receive your quote at
the time of presentation.
From the Sales Presentation you will receive:
- A 2-page detailed Quote
- A Marketing Agreement, where you can earn cash for referrals
- A What To Expect after the purchase list
- Product Brochures
- The Sales Rep’s business card
- Referral Cards
A few days following the presentation, your Sales Rep and the DFS Lead Manager, Meghan Middleton, will call to see if anything was left out during the presentation. Also, they will inquire how DFS can assist you in making your decision to start your outdoor project with The Deck & Fence Store.
What to Expect After the Sales Presentation
Once we have your approval on the project, the Sales Rep will immediately bring the signed contract & deposit to The Deck & Fence Store for processing.
Shortly after signing your contract, you will receive a call from the Vinyl Coordinator, Tammy Price.
Tammy is responsible for scheduling the site visit, delivering materials, obtaining permits (if required), and providing customers with what material is needed for subdivision approval & scheduling the installation.
She is your Key Point of Contact in the office, once the contract is signed.
She will discuss:
1. Scheduling
Scheduling: Your contract will have an approximate installation time. This will let you know an approximate time we can start your project. Tammy will have a more definite time frame for you.
2. A Site Visit from either the Fence Superintendent or a Deck Superintendent; which can greatly eliminate confusion on the job site and insure a perfect installation.
Site Visit: During your site visit, they will discuss material placement and review the items on the contract
The 3 supervisors are:
- Keith Brenizer: Fence Superintendent
- Cameron Caudule: Deck Superintendent/lir>
- Troy Brennan: Deck Superintendent
- They select crews/foreman for each job.
- They oversee the job, giving assistance to foreman where needed.
- They answer & explain technical questions before the job starts and during the project.
- Also, during the final walk-through, they may participate with you and the foremen.
3. Permits
Permits: Almost all decks require a permit. Some even require architectural sealed drawings, all of which we take care of. Extra fees for an architect may apply, however.
4. Subdivision Approval
Subdivision Approval: This is the responsibility of the home owner, but we will be glad to provide any information that can help with the approval process (drawing, literature, etc.). This needs to be submitted before the job starts.
After the Project Completion, you will receive:
1. A Certificate of Completion
This is a survey to evaluate your thoughts on how the project went from start to finish.
You will review everyone that has been involved in your project.
Your entire project is listed from start to finish.
You are also provided with your ending balance that is due upon project completion.
2. Warranty Cards
3. Lien Waivers
The Completion Certificate, Warranty Cards, and Lien Waivers are administered to you by Brenda Alt.
Brenda also deals with Financing Options, Financing Approval, and Sold Job files.
